The holidays are in full swing on Palmer Square, and it promises to be a magical season ahead!
Throughout the month of December, Palmer Square brings holiday cheer to downtown Princeton, with events, specials, festive fare, and seasonal fun for the whole family.
Our 65 foot Douglas Fir was lit last weekend, and on December 6th we will hold our Menorah Lighting as we celebrate the 5th night of Chanukah. The ceremony will be led by Rabbi Adam Feldman and Cantor Jeff Warschauer of The Jewish Center of Princeton, and include holiday food and music. Join us!
On the weekends, the square is filled with music and merriment. The sweet sounds of Princeton University’s Tiger Tones, and Courtney’s Carolers–dressed in Victorian attire–will fill the square on Saturdays and Sundays.
Families can take photos with Santa or in front of a holiday backdrop in our pop-up portrait studio every weekend through December 23rd. Or, buy a ticket to hop on the trolley with Princeton Tour Company for a drive through downtown Princeton where you’ll take in the town’s sights, and learn about its rich history!
When planning your visit–whether its for holiday shopping, dining, or just running errands–remember our parking garages have special rates for evening and weekends (Monday through Saturday – enter after 4pm and pay $3) and Sundays (flat $4 for all-day parking.) And don’t forget: our holiday Wish List makes finding the perfect gift simple, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the spirit of the season on the Square.
