Music Fest 2019

MUSIC FEST PRINCETON 2019 TO PAY HOMAGE TO JERSEY’S FINEST.

Two stages, six bands, and music lovers from the tri-state area will take over the Square on Sunday, September 15th. The show’s headliner, The B Street Band, rock the stage with a tribute to, New Jersey legends Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band.

Princeton, NJ, August 12, 2019– The second annual Music Fest Princeton will take place on Palmer Square on September 15, 2019. A unique musical line up showcasing favorites from New Jersey’s legendary artists will open with a tribute set featuring the works of Frank Sinatra. The family friendly festival will be host to two stages, food and beverage vendors, retail offerings and activity tables from around Palmer Square.

Music Fest debuted in 2018 replacing the long standing JazzFeast. “We hoped to build upon the successes of the event as we broadened the musical offerings and opened Music Fest to fans who enjoy all types of live music,” said Jamie Volkert, Director of Marketing for Palmer Square. “As a nod to our deep seeded roots we’ll open the show with a jazz ensemble,” she said. This year Swingadelic, a Jazz Swing band out of New York City, will play Frank Sinatra’s greatest hits.

Some Assembly Required, a local favorite, will play the mid-day set on the main stage featuring an eclectic mix of Jersey’s best. The set list will delight and surprise you with the best of the Fugees, Spin Doctors, Blues Traveler, Fountains of Wayne, Whitney Houston and many more. Bring your dancing shoes because Some Assembly Required always gets the crowd moving.

The B Street Band, a tribute to “The Boss” (Bruce Springsteen) will headline the event. From the heart of the Jersey shore, The B Street Band (formerly known as Backstreets) was the first band to do a unique tribute to a live performer. Since 1980, the B Street Band has played over 6,000 shows around the country and has shared the stage with several members of the E Street band. The band has played many national venues, opening for Bruce Springsteen concerts and even playing tribute to him at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame exhibit, “The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen.” The B Street band has raised millions of dollars for charity over the last 39 years and calls NJ home!  For more information on The B Street Band please visit BStreetBand.com.

JB Rocks will warm the crowd up with a strolling ensemble in the street prior to the main stage opening, and the side stage will feature a Paul Simon Tribute with Aleo Music, and a Bon Jovi Tribute with Slippery When Wet.
