Our Story

Dandelion’s story begins in 1966, when Beth Fluke opened a fresh-cut flower shop in Kennebunkport, Maine. She called it The Dandelion. Never one to settle, Beth quickly outgrew the sleepy town and made the move to Philadelphia, where she shifted her focus from flowers to handmade jewelry. A true family business, Bethโ€™s daughters Leslie and Lellie grew up in the shop. Memories were built within its walls and meetings were always planned around naptime. After exploring other passions, Leslie and Lellie decided to follow in their motherโ€™s footsteps and run Dandelion together. Today, our Palmer Square store joins two locations in Pennsylvania. We strive to stay on the cutting edge of fashion, providing visibility for new artists and accessibility for our customers to stay ahead of the trends. Unwilling to sacrifice ethics and quality, we travel the globe in search of new pieces, empowering artists and supporting communities along the way. As a family-owned and female-fronted business, we build relationships with every person who enters our shop. This devotion to our customer has fostered an environment that we can be proud ofโ€”one that inspires your family to continue visiting ours.
