Fall is underway and I’m back, folks!
Polly here – your local Princeton shop-a-holic. If you know me then you know there are two things I’m obsessed with: one is Princeton, and the other is FALL. It’s my favorite season. And fall in Princeton? Forget it. Perfect. Gorgeous. I’m all about fall. Let’s do this!
First step in embracing the #fallvibes: get cozy! I stopped at HIGHBAR Boutique, the new pop-up space on Palmer Square, and snagged a few pretty candles and a chunky scarf. Check them out at 7 Palmer Square West (next to the tempting Chez Alice.)
Candle is lit, so it’s time to whip up some fall flavors in the kitchen. A quick and easy stop at Kitchen Kapers and I was ready for some slow-cooking with a gorgeous Staub Cast Iron Couquette (that’s a fancy word for ‘pot that you make the most delicious things in’.) By the way – they’re on sale right now!
Next order of business: pack my calendar with festive fall fun! I sure won’t be missing out on the upcoming town event: Fall Fest, Saturday 10/21. From 12pm – 3pm there will be live music from local bands, tasty food & drinks, and treats all around the Square! This family-friendly fun is guaranteed to put you in a fall mood and I honestly can’t wait!
Also, you can’t forget about the Hometown Halloween Parade, a charming, quintessential Princeton event put on by the Arts Council. You can bet I’ll be suiting up the kids and gathering on the Palmer Square Green on 10/26 to march through the square and make your way to the Princeton YWCA for trunk-or-treat fun. See you there at 5:15!
Quick note to my ladies: you may know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Take the time for an exam, and support the cause if you can. Lace Silhouettes is hosting a ‘Fit for the Cure’ event on 10/20–an easy way to give back while treating yourself. Stop in for refreshments and complimentary bra fitting and $2 will be donated to fund breast cancer research – no purchase required!
Don’t mind me, I’ll just be F-A-L-L-I-N-G for Fall in Princeton all season long. Until next time! xo
