WHAT: Jason and Brill Garrett, through Jason Garrett Starfish Charities, has teamed with the Athlife Foundation to host a 1-day, free non-contact football camp. The day consists of on-field practices and games as well as a life-skills component that emphasizes the importance of making good choices both on and off the field . We also host a Leadership Forum at the Nassau In for the volunteer coaches ad staff. Guest speakers engage with attendees to discuss all aspects of leadership. The weekend’s festivities kick-off with the 2nd Annual Dig Deep Fun Run for NAMI “The Starfish Way” from the Nassau Inn in Palmer Square to raise money for a pilot program to address mental health challenges as initiated by the high school student-athletes in our Starfish Leadership Academy.
WHEN: Friday, June 16, 2023 7:00 p.M. – 10:30 p.m. to Saturday, June 17, 2023 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
WHERE: Princeton University and the Nassau Inn, Princeton, NJ
WHO: Area high school student-athletes from New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania are coached by Jason Garrett, current and former NFL players and coaches and college and area high school coaches.
WHY: Jason Garrett Starfish Charities and the Athlife Foundation teach the campers both football and life skills that will prepare them for the next season and beyond. The purpose of the day is to inspire the participants to be their best and to focus on putting college on their radar screen.
