Meet the Stylists of Salon Pure!

Located high above the bustling streets of Palmer Square, Salon Pure’s upscale beauty salon promises a luxurious experience with lasting results. This full-service salon is made up of professional hair stylists on the cutting edge of fashion, some of whom we were fortunate enough to sit down and speak with! Enjoy learning a little bit more about Amaya, Amy O. and Kayla, some of the new stylists on the team!

Amaya has been working in the industry since 2018 and completed her Cosmetology schooling at Raritan Valley Community College with a certification in Brazilian blowouts, extensions, color classes, fall trends.

  • Amaya: It’s my “Hair Home” – a good environment to grow, and everyone is willing to teach you a new skillset.

  • Amaya: Everything! But I enjoy baby-lights & balayage.
  • PSQ: What are your favorite hair product(s)?
  • Amaya: I love working with the Babyliss Blowdryer. Holding it by the barrel makes for a ore controlled blow drying experience.

  • Amaya: LaBella hair extensions!  They offer a 1-day seminar to train with experienced instructors where you learn 3 methods to create the perfect look for your clients.

  • Amaya: Getting to know the client, learning about their wants & needs. i enjoy that most conversations always flow towards the client’s life.
  • PSQ: What is your #1 hair-care tip for winter?
  • Amaya: Absolutely make sure to use moisturizing cream and leave in conditioner. When the weather changes most people’s hair tend to get super dry, so i recommend the ECRU New York Silk Nourishing Spray!

Amy O. has been working in the industry for over 5 years and completed her Cosmetology schooling at Innovate Salon Academy, and continued to take a 4-week seminar at NY ARROJO Bootcamp.

  • Amy O.: I sort of fell into it! I was working with people who knew Salon Pure’s owner, Amy Kaczowski and I reached out.
  • PSQ: What is your specialty? What services do you offer?
  • Amy O.: Blonding, highlights, and cutting
  • PSQ: What are your favorite hair product(s)?
  • Amy O: For heavy and thick hair I love using Paul Mitchell’s Clean Beauty Styling Cream. And for light and thin hair, ECRU Body Building Fiber Mousse is great for providing volume!

  • Amy O: ARROJO haircutting courses in New York.

  • Amy O.: I always enjoy talking about home care and house renovations since I have been renovating mine since May!

  • Amy O.: A lot of people tend to think they have dandruff, but in reality they just have a dry scalp especially during the changing of seasons. For a dry scalp I recommend getting a moisturizing conditioner.

Kayla has been working in the industry for  2.5 years and completed her Cosmetology schooling at Innovate Salon Academy, and extended her training under Nick Arrojo at ARROJO Bootcamp.

  • Kayla: Babylights and creating natural lived-in blonde for my clients.

  • Kayla: I was originally studying for nursing school, I knew I wanted to help people. Being a stylist I can do that, but in a different and more fun way! Also, I enjoy getting complimented on how great my shampoo massages are!
